Survivors of sexual violence and abuse have specific needs that are best met by

personalized treatment plans and services that are inclusive and embrace all aspects of the survivors identity.

This includes personalized treatment for all survivors regardless of gender. Harbor Behavioral Health & Wellness recognizes that sexual violence and abuse does not discriminate against gender and therefore wants to ensure all individuals who may have experienced violence and abuse, have a brave space to process and heal from their experience.  Our clinicians partner with survivors to recover from their experience and to restore their sense of security in order to progress towards a full and gratifying life.

Treatment modalities often utilized to address the needs of those who have been

exposed to trauma include, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Health, Cranial electrotherapy stimulation (CES), Biofeedback, Somatic Experiencing, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma-Informed Yoga,  and Equine Assisted Psychotherapy. At Harbor Behavioral Health & Wellness, clinicians will focus on all aspects of the individual who has been exposed to trauma in order to reconnect the mind and body following exposure to trauma. The focus of treatment will include the development of necessary skills to self-regulate and process these experiences.
