At Harbor Behavioral Health & Wellness, we offer specialized and tailored treatment for military service members, veterans, and law enforcement officers, as well as their families. Our clinicians recognize the unique aspects and cultural influences that are specific to those who have served in the military or public safety roles.

In addition to providing general mental health services for the military and law enforcement communities, Harbor Behavioral Health & Wellness prioritizes trauma informed care which is utilized to structure treatment plans for those who have been exposed to trauma including but not limited to traumatic brain injuries, combat trauma, military sexual trauma, and critical incidents in the community.  Although most individuals who have been exposed to trauma will not develop symptoms of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), it is important to address traumatic experiences in order to support resiliency and minimize long-term effects.

Treatment modalities often utilized to address the needs of those who have been exposed to trauma include, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Health, Cranial electrotherapy stimulation (CES), Biofeedback, Somatic Experiencing, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Equine Assisted Psychotherapy. At Harbor Behavioral Health & Wellness, clinicians will focus on all aspects of the individual who has been exposed to trauma in order to reconnect the mind and body following exposure to trauma. The focus of treatment will include the development of necessary skills to self-regulate and process these experiences.
